At Vetergy Group, we do not advise about solutions and move on; we are passionate about our interactions and assume responsibility for your organization's outcomes.

Who is Vetergy?

When asked in a casual manner about what Vetergy does, it can be difficult to summarize in a one-minute elevator pitch. Vetergy helps organizations operate safely and effectively. More specifically, we focus on operation resilience and human error. Many people think that we just help organizations recover or learn from a major event and accident. Vetergy is much more.

We help organizations build a capacity to anticipate operational risks and to respond positively to unforeseen disruptions. By doing this, we continuously their industry performance. How do we do this? By combining decades of operating field experience with modern behavioral science principles and data analytics to provide boutique solutions for individual organizations.

Why Resilience?

We focus on resilience for a few reasons. In many organizations, a single mistake can have very serious consequences. Even when a worker is engaged and trying to do the right thing, or even following the procedure, things can go wrong. In these environments, much effort is spent in trying to control everything. No person or organization is capable of thinking about every possibility of what can go wrong. Things arise that no procedure covers. Still, organizations try to cover those things and predict them.

We have discovered this is a futile effort. Sooner or later, organizations realize working harder at what they are doing is not going to improve things. The following questions inevitably arise:

  • How is the culture at the organization?
  • Why was the procedure in question created and for what purpose?
  • Is the procedure still applicable?
  • Did leadership influence a bad decision in some way?

Essentially, Vetergy believes that these questions are the start to yield what truly needs to be improved. Procedures, policies, and processes account for 99% of all possibilities. However, 100% the 1% or the unknown or unexpected will occur. Vetergy focuses on that 1%...

The Vetergy team consists of retired military leaders with field experience in high-risk environments along with data professionals including an industrial psychologist who is able to draw important analytics from organizations through in-depth organizational evaluations. Vetergy draws from this experience and wealth of knowledge to create environments ripe for resilience in organizations.
